Joseph Mbalu Mutava was appointed high court judge on August 22, 2011. sometime in 2012, complaints of misconduct had been made in opposition to him at the Judicial service fee (JSC), pertaining to cases he had dealt with on the Milimani excessive court docket in Nairobi.
